At CrossFit Achieve, we believe that health and fitness should be generational. This is one of the big reasons our Achieve Varsity program thrives! Kids come into our youth training program at 10 years old and many of them stick with it for years, giving them countless advantages in sport and life. Functional fitness, at any age, truly promotes long-term health and well-being. We’ve taken the time to compile some of the top benefits our youth athletes see on a daily basis. Check them out below!

1. Camaraderie That Fosters Team Spirit
Our program is run in a small group setting of 8 kids or less, creating a supportive atmosphere where young athletes can connect with their peers.
Friendship through shared goals: All of our athletes are here to get stronger and have fun in the process! This has led to so many amazing friendships that extend outside of the gym.
Encouragement and teamwork: Creating a culture of unity, mutual respect, and teamwork is top priority with our Varsity athletes. They cheer each other on and offer a spot while lifting – they way it should be!
2. Improved Motor Skills for Sport-Specific Success
Many of the kids in our youth training program are multi-season athletes and have seen great improvement by adding in fundamental movement patterns like squatting, jumping, running, and rotating.
- Enhanced coordination and balance: Exercises like lunges, agility drills, and core stabilization improve overall body control, critical for success in any sport.
- Strength for injury prevention: Properly supervised strength training helps build resilient muscles and joints, reducing the risk of common sports injuries.
- Speed and power: Conditioning drills like sprints or plyometrics help young athletes develop explosiveness needed for quick, game-changing actions.

3. Confidence That Elevates Performance
As a coach, there’s nothing like seeing a kid light up after hitting a new personal best or mastering a challenging skill. Their confidence soars! Strength training and conditioning provide measurable progress that builds self-belief.
Mental toughness: Overcoming the challenges of training builds resilience, helping athletes face competition or setbacks with a positive mindset.
Goal setting and achievement: Tracking progress in lifts or conditioning benchmarks teaches athletes to set realistic goals and work toward them systematically.
4. Discipline That Prepares Athletes for Success
The structured nature of our youth training program teaches the value of consistency and effort, traits that benefit young athletes in every area of life.
- Commitment: Regular training routines help athletes develop discipline and a strong work ethic. We always offer our classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays!
- Time management: Balancing workouts with school and other responsibilities builds valuable organizational skills.
