Hi all!! Welcome to CrossFit Achieve! I am so excited you are browsing through our website. Getting to know your coaches is important as it will be the connecting dot to helping you achieve your goals! I was a 3-4 sport athlete growing up and very competitive! I went on to play DI Soccer at Southeast Missouri State University where I received my BS and MS. After college soccer I needed something fun and competitive and that is where CrossFit came into play! I drank the Kool-aid just like you will soon ;)! After finding CrossFit in 2012, it changed my whole life for the better and I made the decision to start coaching Full-Time later in 2016. I spent 8 years in the space prior to deciding it was time to open my own and that is now CrossFit Achieve! All I am going to say is, DO NOT JUDGE a book by it’s cover and understand you don’t have to get “FIT” to start CrossFit. CrossFit is designed to meet you where you are and get you where you want to go!

I’m Mike and I look forward to meeting you in class! I can’t wait to share my enthusiasm about our gym and how it has changed my life. I am originally from Texas and grew up around sports. Throughout middle and high school I played baseball, football, ran track and cross country before finally retiring from competition my junior year. After that, things went off the rails.
I completed my undergrad degree at Texas A&M University but to be honest, didn’t really take care of myself that well. I ate whatever I wanted, occasionally went to the gym and when I did, mainly stuck with cardio machines. After college, my new “fitness” habits didn’t really change for about 15 years. By that point, I was overweight and depressed with high blood pressure and cholesterol while trying to fix my issues with a week’s worth of whatever fad diet trend there was and 3-4x a week of cardio at the globo gym while barely touching weights. This wasn’t what was best for me, my wife or my three kids.
I walked into Coach Rachel’s gym, went through on-ramps and started taking classes. And honestly, it was brutal! CrossFit was harder than anything I done before, but I kept coming back because of the commitment to myself and because of the best part of the gym: the community. Over the years, I’ve improved in just about every area in terms of my physical and mental health, hit personal record lifts I never thought attainable and cleaned up my nutrition to be in the best shape of my life in my late 30’s.
Wherever you’re at in your fitness journey (including the beginning!) and whatever your goals are, this is the right place for you. And we look forward to helping you on your journey.

My name is Reid, and I can’t wait to see you in class!
I was born and raised about an
hour south of St. Louis, in a small town near Bonne Terre, Missouri. I am a huge sports fanatic, so if anyone wants to talk basketball or football I am always down! I was a multi-sport athlete for as long as I could remember and eventually played collegiate golf for one year before deciding it wasn’t for me. After getting out of the strict college training regimen I really let myself go. I ended up being around 50 pounds overweight and completely unhappy with my life. After attempting to play basketball with the kids I was coaching once and having to quit after 5 minutes, I knew something needed to change. Luckily, my Dad just started doing CrossFit at a very small local gym around us. I was hesitant at first, but after a while I became obsessed with everything CrossFit. CrossFit not only helped me lose 50 pounds and eventually get in the best shape of my life, but it also helped me break old habits, get my nutrition on track, and most importantly brought my best friends and role models to me.
As far as credentials and experience, I am a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, as well as an NASM Performance Enhancement Specialist. I have been coaching in some capacity since I was 18, and now at 23 I cannot wait to bring my own unique experiences and coaching style to this badass community you all call home! I cannot wait to learn more about this great community you all have going here at CrossFit Achieve, and I am beyond excited to help this crew reach their goals and become the best version of themselves they can be!

Hi everyone! I am excited to join CrossFit Achieve and accompany you on your health and fitness journey. I have been doing CrossFit since I was 15 when I walked into a box and quickly realized it was something I wanted to be part of for the long term. From coaches who inspired me to new friends I made, I fell in love with health and fitness and all the positive results that come from it. Since I started, I have found my passion for becoming the best version of myself and helping others to do the same. I earned my coaching certification at 17 and have been working to inspire people to be their happiest and healthiest ever since!
Some other things I enjoy are traveling and spending time with my family. I recently moved to Saint Louis after living in Des Moines, Iowa. I currently serve in the National Guard and am applying to Flight School, hoping to get stationed in Missouri, Colorado, or Germany. In the meantime, I cannot wait to see where your goals take you at CrossFit Achieve!

Hi! I am excited share my passion for health and fitness as we all try to wake up and be a little better than we were yesterday. Attending classes with the CFA crew is one of my favorite parts of every day, and I hope to share that with all of you as well.
I grew up in a family of athletes and coaches so playing sports was always a central part of my life, family, friendships and communities. I still remember throwing a tennis ball thousands of times against our front porch growing up and fielding ground balls when it would come back to me. I did this every day, as regularly as I show up for CrossFit classes! Occasionally one of my older brothers would play with me, but not very often, because it is embarrassing to lose a made-up baseball game to your little sister. I played basketball and softball through high school and went on to play softball at SIU Carbondale. During my summer breaks from college, I helped coach my high school baseball with my dad and brother.
After college, I needed a competitive outlet so I started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. In 2021, I was awarded my black belt and in 2022 won the Master World Championships for my age group. I have been coaching jiu jitsu since 2018 and competing since 2012. In 2017, I started training CrossFit so I could be more physically imposing on the mats. It worked, but I also found a new love in a CrossFit journey and community.
